Enjoying National Day in Sweden

Hej from Sweden
CJ and I had smooth travels and arrived here safely and earlier than Graham expected us-when we got on the early train from Stockholm. We are happy to be here with Graham in Orebro, Sweden, and last night we hung out at "the party Gazebo" in the dorm courtyard where we met many of his international friends from all over the world....Sweden, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Greece, France, Canada, Australia.... It was so fun to meet so many and hear how much they have all enjoyed there 5 months here. Finally went to bed at 2am after 2 days of travel. The sky was illuminated with light as we walked home down the pine lined pathways at 1 am here in the land of the midnight sun.
We slept in today till 11 am (much needed rest) and then up for breakfast and a chat on the front porch. Then we took the bus into town and watched a bit of the National Day celebration here. There was music, a walking parade along the river to old town where many of the older folk were dressed in their traditional costumes. Yeah! They had a music/choir concert and also a reniessance faire was going on. We enjoyed a walk around the Orebro castle and then had lunch and a beer at PITCHERS restaurant across the street.
Walked back through the fragrant local neighborhoods where many a swedish house is painted yellow and barn shaped, and lilacs, peonies and a few of the last iris's are in bloom . Had a quick tour of the University campus. Got a few groceries and some swedish treats ...licorice of course, some ginger cookies and chocolate coconut truffle like sweets. Back to the apartment and I took a nap while Grambo filled CJ in all the rules of Rugby. Had nice dinner here at home made by the boys and then Grambo packed up his stuff. He just now took off for a bit more visiting and goodbyes at the spanish girls party. CJ and I are hanging out at the apartment and checking our emails and such before going to bed soon. The sky still has some light to it at 11:45pm . (I find that so odd, and it feels much earlier than it actually is)
Tomorrow we travel to a nearby town to watch Grambo and the boyz play Rugby and then Sunday afternoon we head on the train to Stockholm and then our flight to Dublin, Ireland.
Had hoped to put some pics here with my notes, but guess that will have to wait as Graham's MAC doesn't make it easy to do :-(
Hope you are all well
God Natt!
Karla CJ and Graham
